01

The challenge

Abuse and poor mental health are often hidden in plain sight. Customers, colleagues and neighbours needed simple, memorable ways to recognise the warning signs — and to know where to turn.

02

The idea

One clear call to action — “See the signs, speak out” — across a series of bold, street-poster style designs. Each poster names a topic in big type, lists the real warning signs as short labels, and pairs them with a single-line illustration that says the rest without words.

03

The execution

Four posters in the series — domestic abuse, emotional abuse, physical abuse and mental health — each in its own strong colour so they work as a set and stand alone. Every poster carries a QR code linking straight to support and further information.

Purple Domestic Abuse poster listing warning signs, with a line illustration of a young person hugging their knees
Orange Emotional Abuse poster: shaming, blaming, criticising, humiliating — with a line illustration of a pointing finger
Teal Physical Abuse poster listing warning signs, with a line illustration of a child covering their face
Green Mental Health poster: seeming sad, anxious, low self-esteem — with a tangled line illustration inside a head
